Avengers: Secret Wars (2026)

As the multiverse collapses due to the ongoing incursions caused by Kang the Conqueror and his variants, chaos spreads across all realities. The remaining Avengers, including Doctor Strange, Thor, Captain America (Sam Wilson), and Spider-Man (Peter Parker), desperately try to prevent total destruction. Meanwhile, incursions—where universes collide and annihilate each other—threaten existence itself. The villainous Kang, who was seemingly defeated in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, reemerges more powerful than ever, having gained control over a fragment of reality itself. However, he is not the only threat—Doctor Doom, a brilliant and ruthless mastermind from an alternate universe, discovers the power of the Beyonders, godlike beings who manipulate existence. Using their power, Doom creates Battleworld, a patchwork planet made from the remnants of destroyed universes, over which he declares himself ruler. Heroes and villains from various realities—including variants of Iron Man, Wolverine, and even past Avengers—find themselves trapped on this strange world, forced to fight for survival under Doom’s rule.

As the Avengers regroup, they encounter new and old allies from different universes. The multiversal chaos brings together unexpected faces: a variant of Tony Stark, the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men, and possibly Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. Meanwhile, Doom, wielding godlike power, challenges Kang for dominance, setting off a war between two of the greatest villains the MCU has ever seen. Doctor Strange, with the help of Loki and Wanda Maximoff (who survived her apparent death in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), seeks a way to restore the natural order. Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four and other brilliant minds—including Shuri and Bruce Banner—devise a plan to steal Doom’s power and reshape reality before all is lost. As factions form, the Avengers must navigate alliances and betrayals, knowing that failure means the complete annihilation of existence.

In the climactic battle, a massive war erupts on Battleworld. Heroes from across the multiverse—including past Avengers, X-Men, and even anti-heroes like Deadpool—join forces to overthrow Doom. Kang, realizing he is losing control, attempts to seize Doom’s power for himself, but the Avengers intervene. In an epic showdown, Doctor Strange, Reed Richards, and a newly resurrected Iron Man (from an alternate universe) challenge Doom, while Thor and the Hulk lead a charge against Kang’s forces. Ultimately, Doom is defeated when his stolen power is stripped away, and Kang is erased from time itself. As the multiverse teeters on the edge of destruction, the Avengers, with the help of a cosmic entity such as the Living Tribunal or Eternity, restore reality, creating a new and stable timeline. In the aftermath, some heroes return to their respective universes, while others, like the X-Men and Fantastic Four, remain in the new MCU timeline, setting up a new era of Marvel storytelling. The film ends with a glimpse of a new and mysterious threat, teasing what’s next for the Avengers.
